Utilizing a Cobot for Lock Testing – Case iLOQ

The goal of this project is to automate lock testing using a collaborative robot (cobot). As part of a thesis project, a tester is being designed and integrated into the robot’s gripper to simplify and accelerate the testing process. The aim is for the cobot to perform the testing independently, freeing up employee time for other tasks. The result will be a functional test device that can be used immediately and further developed for future lock models.

For iLOQ, the project focuses on evaluating whether automated testing with a cobot is more efficient and cost-effective than manual testing. OAMK supports the project by providing the robot, facilities, and technical assistance throughout the process.
